Our Third Stay
The staff really do go above and beyond to ensure you have a comfortable stay here. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The beds, duvets, and pillows are very comfortable, so we slept very well, and the hotel is in a great location, so you can easily walk to all the main attractions. We didn't have breakfast this time around, but from previous stays, there is lots of choice, and the coffee is good. Wine hour (5pm-6pm) and nightcap hour (10pm-11pm) are a lovely complimentary touch for guests to enjoy the downstairs spaces.
Not a dislike, but the rooms that face the street could do with having the windows soundproofed if this is structurally possible. If you are a light sleeper, bring some ear plugs or request a room that doesn't face the street. It didn't bother us as I always carry earplugs when travelling, and my partner is a heavy sleeper.

Really special
Breakfast and location was very good. We were a family and the food selection suited everyone. We were very close to many interesting places in the area and the coast.
It was expensive and as a couple we had two single beds.

Great location but disappointed with the hotel
The location
We booked a superior double/twin. The room was really small and claustrophobic so we asked to move to another room, which was slightly better but definitely not value for money. No double bed in either rooms just 2 singles pushed together. Carpets in the hallways were very dirty, bathroom towels had seen better days, supposed to be white but they were more like grey. 3 night stay no tea/coffee replenished, had to go to reception on the 2nd morning for teabags/milk. Reception staff quite young and not very welcoming although the woman on reception the evening of Sunday 5th ( sorry didn’t get her name) was really helpful and friendly - so different to the other staff. The photos of this hotel are very deceptive and do not show the rooms in there true light.
